At the Fair

This past weekend was a great time to see what Zimbabwe has to offer, especially if you managed to visit the St Johns fair on Sunday.

We took time to visit the Best of Zimbabwe stand which was resplendent and filled with the smiling faces of the representatives of the people that look forward to making your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.

Changa Safari Camp on the shores of Lake Kariba, in its own beautiful private concession offers stunning views and luscious living space for visitors and guests, greeted us with smiles and cheerful descriptions of the excellent service at the camp.

With semi permanent and pleasingly furnished structures, these tents are fit for Kings.

The Inns of Zimbabwe showcased the best they have to offer, with tantalizing information about the Award winning Inn on Rupurara, charming Pine Tree Inn, and Inn on the Vumba, with it's awe-inspiring views of the Bvumba Mountains and within easy reach of the colourful Bvumba Botanical gardens

Just a short drive from Harare or Bulawayo takes you to Gweru, which is home to the world renowned Antelope Park, with countless activities to delight the entire family and a range of accommodation choices to suit every traveler, from self catering to catered river view chalets.

Also gracing Harare with an appearance, Pamuzinda Safari Lodge detailed their growing portfolio and the specials on offer (so don't forget to email us to find out!)  Their staff recently had a first aid training course, making sure to focus on guest comfort as well as safety. Experience Bulawayo

The City of Kings

A heading we hear all too often, with Queens added to the mix at times. One of the most beautiful cities in Zimbabwe (if not Africa) this gem has a myriad of fun things to do and places to visit.

National Art Gallery

Douslin House (Click to find out more)

With fantastic exhibitions and a coffee shop that serves food, it's a place you might want to spend the day or at least the morning.

Travellers Guest Lodge               Nesbitt Castle             Southern Comfort Lodge

Khami Ruins

The second largest archaeological site in Zimbabwe (after Great Zimbabwe) this beautiful spot is easily accessed by vehicle from anywhere in and around the City of Bulawayo.

Beautifully decorated walls
Both historical sites are of the same cultural tradition, though Khami Ruins does offer a greater number of decorated walls for the visitor to explore and admire.

Martobo Hills Lodge                      Farm House                    Camp Amalinda

Matobo National Park

A United Nations World Heritage Site, this Park, is home to rock paintings and evidence of human habitation from the Stone Age. This is a cultural hotspot that is not to be missed. The Ndebele King, Mzilikazi, named this area Matobo, which means "Bald Heads". It is not difficult to see why.
